La redazione di Fratello Illuminato intervista l’attrice americana Uma Thurman

A dynamic career … ..

“Yeah. I made a bit schizophrenic choices. Especially when I was very young I passed from one role to another. But I have always worked, non-stop, from 16 to 39 years. I do not know many actors who have done the same. And then I preferred it. At first you tend to make specific roles, choose a character they feel is right for you and I will stick on him. But I did not want to become a stereotype, I fought and I tried to diversify, to think creatively”.

Concrete love or romantic love?

“We need both. For me love is one of the most important things there are and there is not love that is the same as another, just like fingerprints. Head and heart are always opposed, even in the cinema”.

Have you ever had a day off?

“Maybe a few days of illness. It’s the only way to skip work. A friend of mine, also she is a mother, said wryly that we should hope to have a little accident, to be hospitalized for a short period and finally take a breathe”.

But you love working …

“Unfortunately, yes. I’ve always had a lot of energy and even when I’m at home I can not sit still. I suffer from the so-called obsessive compulsive syndrome: I always have to do something”.

There are things that you regret having done?

“No, because from every mistake you can learn something”
